Quick Caramelized Banana Dessert (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For Caramelizing

01 - 2 medium ripe bananas (yellow with no black spots)
02 - 2 teaspoons dairy-free butter (or regular butter if not dairy-free)
03 - 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
04 - ½ teaspoon cinnamon

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (390°F).
02 - While the air fryer preheats, peel your bananas and slice them lengthways down the middle.
03 - Melt the butter in a small bowl using a microwave or in a saucepan over low heat.
04 - In a separate small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
05 - Place the banana halves on a piece of foil with several holes poked in it, shaped to fit in your air fryer basket.
06 - Using a pastry brush, gently coat the cut surfaces of the bananas with the melted butter.
07 - Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered bananas.
08 - Carefully lift the foil with the prepared bananas and place in the air fryer basket. Cook for 7-9 minutes without flipping. For more caramelization, add another 2-3 minutes of cooking time.
09 - When your bananas are beautifully caramelized, remove them from the air fryer and allow them to cool for 1-2 minutes.
10 - Enjoy your caramelized bananas on their own or as a delicious topping for vanilla ice cream.

# Notes:

01 - Use foil with a few holes to minimize mess, or try air fryer liners.
02 - Choose ripe yellow bananas - overripe (black spotted) bananas will become mushy, while underripe (green) bananas won't soften or sweeten properly.
03 - For variety, try slicing bananas into rounds instead of halves.
04 - Since air fryers vary, watch closely and remove when golden and caramelized.
