01 -
Gently clean your mushrooms using a slightly damp cloth or soft vegetable brush to remove any dirt. Cut larger mushrooms into halves or quarters so all pieces are roughly the same bite-sized portions.
02 -
Create three shallow dishes in a row: one with flour, one with your beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings you're using.
03 -
Give your air fryer basket a light coating of cooking spray to prevent sticking.
04 -
Working with one mushroom at a time, roll it in flour first, then dip into the beaten egg (letting excess drip off), and finally press into the seasoned breadcrumbs until well coated.
05 -
Place the breaded mushrooms in your air fryer basket with some space between each piece - don't overcrowd them or they won't cook evenly. You may need to work in batches.
06 -
Air fry at 360°F for 7 minutes until the coating is golden brown and crispy. Carefully remove the hot mushrooms and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce like creamy ranch or marinara.
