Chocolate Overnight Oats Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Mixture

01 - 1 cup classic rolled oats
02 - 2 scoops protein powder (vanilla or chocolate variety, about 50g)
03 - 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
04 - 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
05 - 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - Small pinch of sea salt

→ Toppings

08 - 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips (dark chocolate preferred)
09 - 2 tablespoons roughly chopped walnuts
10 - 1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter for drizzling (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - In a large bowl or mason jar, combine the rolled oats, protein powder, almond milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Whisk everything together thoroughly, making sure the protein powder completely dissolves and there are no lumps remaining.
02 - Cover your container tightly with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight. This allows the oats to absorb all those delicious flavors and become perfectly creamy.
03 - Remove from the fridge and give everything a good stir. The mixture will be quite thick, so feel free to add a splash more almond milk if you prefer it creamier. Divide between two bowls and generously top with chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, and a drizzle of peanut butter if desired.

# Notes:

01 - For a completely gluten-free version, make sure to use certified gluten-free oats, as regular oats can be cross-contaminated during processing.
02 - To keep this recipe vegan-friendly, choose plant-based protein powder and dairy-free chocolate chips.
03 - The oats will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, making this perfect for meal prep.
