Quick Cajun Steak Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Steak

01 - 1.5 lbs. top sirloin, trimmed and cubed into 1-inch pieces
02 - 2 Tbsp. cajun seasoning (2 1/2 for extra heat)
03 - 1/2 Tbsp. butter or coconut oil

→ Homemade Cajun Seasoning

04 - 3 Tbsp. smoked paprika
05 - 1.5 Tbsp. salt
06 - 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
07 - 1 Tbsp. onion powder
08 - 1 Tbsp. dried oregano
09 - 1 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
10 - 1 tsp. fresh ground black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Mix all the Cajun seasoning ingredients in a small bowl or mason jar. Set aside. You'll only use about 1.5 Tbsp for this recipe, but save the rest for future dishes!
02 - Cut your sirloin into 1-inch cubes if you haven't already. Toss the steak pieces in a mixing bowl with 2 Tbsp of the Cajun seasoning until they're fully coated.
03 - Heat the butter in a medium cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until melted. Add the seasoned steak to the hot pan. Let them sear untouched for about 2 minutes to develop a nice crust before stirring.
04 - Continue cooking for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak bites are golden brown and cooked to your preferred doneness. They cook quickly, so keep an eye on them!
05 - Remove from heat and serve hot. These steak bites pair perfectly with sides like mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables for a complete meal.

# Notes:

01 - These tender Cajun Steak Bites are a meat lover's dream - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and ready in just minutes.
02 - If using store-bought Cajun seasoning, use only 3/4-1 Tbsp as it tends to be saltier than homemade.
03 - Serving size is approximately 4.5 oz of cooked steak. For best results, weigh your final product and divide by 4, as the weight will vary depending on your desired doneness.
04 - This high-protein recipe works great as an appetizer or as a main course when paired with sides.
