01 -
Heat a sauté pan over medium heat. Crumble the ground beef into the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook until nicely browned (about 5 minutes). Remove from pan and set aside. If there's excess grease left behind, drain it out.
02 -
Add butter to the same pan. Once melted, toss in the diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté until they start to brown and the onions become translucent, which takes around 4-5 minutes.
03 -
Reduce heat to low, then add the cooked ground beef back to the pan. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, drizzle the worcestershire sauce, and pour in the beef broth. Scrape the bottom of the pan as you mix everything together to release all those tasty bits. Let it cook for about a minute.
04 -
Sprinkle the cornstarch over the mixture and stir until it's completely dissolved, about a minute. This will thicken the beef broth into a nice sauce. If the mixture looks too dry, add 1-2 tablespoons of water.
05 -
Remove the pan from heat. Lay the cheese slices on top of the meat mixture and let them sit for 1-2 minutes until melted. Spoon the cheesy mixture onto your rolls and serve immediately while hot.
