Easy Holiday Cookie Dip (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 ounces of cream cheese, at room temperature
02 - 2 cups powdered sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
04 - ½ cup cold heavy whipping cream
05 - ¼ cup festive holiday sprinkles, plus extra for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Start by placing a metal mixing bowl and your hand mixer beaters in the freezer for about ten minutes to get them nice and cold. Once chilled, pour the heavy whipping cream into the cold bowl and whip on high speed for two to three minutes until you see stiff peaks forming. Pop the whipped cream in the fridge to keep it cold while you work on the rest.
02 - In another bowl, combine the cream cheese and vanilla extract. Beat them together with your hand mixer until the mixture becomes silky smooth and everything is well blended.
03 - Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar into your cream cheese mixture, adding a little at a time and beating thoroughly after each addition until you have a smooth, sweet base.
04 - Gently fold your chilled whipped cream into the sweetened cream cheese using a rubber spatula, being careful not to deflate the airiness. Then fold in most of the holiday sprinkles, keeping about a teaspoon aside for decorating later.
05 - Cover your dip and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours to set up properly. When you're ready to serve, transfer it to a pretty serving bowl or festive pie plate, scatter the reserved sprinkles on top, and set out cookies, pretzels, or graham crackers for dipping.

# Notes:

01 - This recipe makes about 4 cups of dip, perfect for sharing at holiday gatherings.
02 - The dip tastes just like the center of a sugar cookie with a creamy, fluffy texture.
03 - Make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easier mixing.
