Slice each piece of bread into 8 even cubes (you'll have 48 small cubes total).

Mix the white sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl until they're well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and salt until smooth.

Melt half of the butter in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Be careful not to let the butter brown.

Dip half of your bread cubes in the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off. Place them in the hot pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally until all sides are golden brown.

As soon as the cubes are cooked, transfer them to the cinnamon-sugar mixture and toss to coat all sides. Move them to a serving plate.

Repeat the process with the remaining butter and bread cubes.
