→ For Cooking & Serving

08 - Unsalted butter for the pan
09 - Warm maple syrup for drizzling

# Instructions:

01 - Set a large skillet on the stove over medium heat and let it warm up while you prepare everything else.
02 - Crack the eggs into a large mixing bowl and whisk them well. Add the milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt, then whisk everything together until smooth and completely blended.
03 - Add a generous tablespoon or two of butter to your heated skillet and let it melt completely, swirling to coat the bottom.
04 - Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture, letting it soak for just a few seconds on each side. Don't oversoak or it'll get mushy. Place the soaked bread in the buttered pan and cook for about 2 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown.
05 - Carefully flip each slice over and cook the other side until it's beautifully golden. Serve immediately while hot with extra butter and a generous drizzle of warm maple syrup.

# Notes:

01 - For the best results, use thick-cut bread that you slice yourself - this gives you control over the thickness and prevents soggy, falling-apart toast.
02 - Keep adding fresh butter to the pan between batches to maintain that crispy, golden exterior and rich flavor.
03 - If your butter starts smoking, mix in a little vegetable oil to prevent burning while keeping that buttery taste.
04 - Medium heat is key - too hot and you'll get burnt outsides with raw, soggy centers. Too low and it won't get that perfect golden crust.
