Classic Margarita Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Cocktail Base

01 - 1 oz premium blanco tequila (silver variety works beautifully)
02 - 1 oz quality orange liqueur - Cointreau for elegance, Triple Sec for budget-friendly, or Grand Marnier for richness
03 - 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice - the fresher, the better
04 - ½ oz agave nectar or homemade simple syrup, adjusted to your sweetness preference

→ For Serving & Garnish

05 - Plenty of ice cubes
06 - Fresh lime wedge for rimming the glass
07 - Coarse sea salt or kosher salt for rim coating
08 - Lime wheel slices for beautiful garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Take a lime wedge and run it gently around the entire rim of your rocks glass - this creates the perfect sticky surface. Pour some coarse salt onto a small plate and gently dip your glass rim into it, rotating to get an even coating. Don't worry if it's not perfect - rustic looks great too! Fill your prepared glass with fresh ice cubes.
02 - Add your tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Give it a vigorous shake for about 15 seconds - you want it really well chilled. Strain the beautiful mixture into your prepared glass, give it a quick taste, and add a touch more agave if you prefer it sweeter. Top with those gorgeous lime slices and you're ready to enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - This timeless cocktail strikes the perfect balance between tart and refreshing - ideal for celebrating Cinco de Mayo, hosting summer get-togethers, or simply elevating your weekday happy hour.
02 - The key to an exceptional margarita lies in using fresh lime juice rather than bottled - it makes all the difference in brightness and flavor.
