Sweet Cheesecake Filled Strawberries (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the base

01 - 12 medium to large fresh strawberries

→ For the filling

02 - 12 ounces whipped cream cheese, softened
03 - 1 cup powdered sugar
04 - 2 teaspoons fresh lemon zest
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ For garnish

06 - 1 tablespoon graham cracker crumbs
07 - 1 tablespoon colorful sprinkles

# Instructions:

01 - Thoroughly wash and pat dry the strawberries. With a sharp paring knife, slice each berry lengthwise, keeping the stems attached for a prettier presentation.
02 - Using your paring knife, carefully score a small triangle in the center of each strawberry half. Then, with a small spoon or melon baller, gently scoop out a bit of the middle to make room for the cheesecake filling.
03 - Place the prepared strawberry halves cut-side down on paper towels for a couple minutes to remove any excess juice.
04 - Transfer the strawberry halves to a deviled egg platter or serving dish of your choice.
05 - In a bowl, mix together the whipped cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until completely smooth and well combined.
06 - Transfer the cream cheese mixture to a piping bag fitted with a large tip (or use a ziplock bag with a corner snipped off). Pipe the filling generously into each strawberry half. Sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs and colorful sprinkles for a festive finish.
07 - Serve immediately for best taste and presentation. These little treats are perfect for parties or as a light dessert!

# Notes:

01 - These adorable deviled strawberries make a perfect dessert for spring gatherings, baby showers, or anytime you want a fresh, light treat.
02 - For best results, choose firm, ripe strawberries that are uniformly sized.
03 - You can prepare the strawberries and filling up to 4 hours ahead, but wait to assemble until just before serving.
