Easy Coffee Frosting (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
02 - 2 tablespoons boiling hot water
03 - 1 cup softened unsalted butter (226g)
04 - 3½ cups confectioner's sugar (440g)
05 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
06 - ⅛ teaspoon fine sea salt

# Instructions:

01 - Combine instant coffee with steaming hot water in a small cup, whisking thoroughly until completely dissolved. Set aside to cool down entirely - you can place it in the refrigerator to speed this up.
02 - Add softened butter to a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until it becomes light, fluffy, and perfectly smooth.
03 - Keep the mixer on low speed and slowly incorporate the powdered sugar until fully blended. Mix in the vanilla extract and salt until evenly distributed.
04 - Slowly pour the completely cooled coffee mixture into the frosting while continuously mixing. Beat until everything is well combined and scrape down the bowl sides to ensure no ingredients are left behind.
05 - Your frosting is ready to spread generously on cakes or pipe beautifully onto cupcakes as desired.

# Notes:

01 - This recipe creates approximately 2½ cups of rich, coffee-flavored frosting with just the right balance of sweetness and bold coffee taste.
02 - For a delicious mocha variation, simply add 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder along with the powdered sugar.
03 - Frosting stays fresh at room temperature for up to 2 days once applied, or can be refrigerated for up to a week.
04 - Unused frosting keeps well in an airtight container in the fridge for 5 days - just let it soften slightly and give it a good stir before using.
