# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 pound fresh okra pods
02 - 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - ½ teaspoon sea salt
05 - 1½ tablespoons melted plant-based butter

# Instructions:

01 - Rinse your okra under cool water and pat completely dry using paper towels. Trim off the stem ends and slice the okra into bite-sized pieces, about ½ to ¾ inch thick. Place all the cut okra in a medium mixing bowl.
02 - In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, and sea salt. Mix these spices together until well blended.
03 - Sprinkle your spice mixture over the okra pieces, then drizzle with the melted plant butter. Toss everything together thoroughly so each piece is nicely coated with the seasoned butter.
04 - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the seasoned okra in a single layer across the sheet, making sure pieces aren't overlapping.
05 - Preheat your oven to 450°F and roast the okra for about 15 minutes until tender and lightly golden. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

# Notes:

01 - For extra flavor, try substituting ½ teaspoon of Berbere seasoning in place of the paprika - it adds a wonderful spice blend that complements okra beautifully.
02 - Add a pinch of cayenne pepper (about ⅛ teaspoon) if you prefer a little heat in your roasted okra.
03 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Reheat on a baking sheet in the oven for best texture, or use the microwave for quick reheating.
