Tropical Mango Iced Tea (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 cups fresh water
02 - 3 teaspoons loose black tea or 2 tea bags
03 - 4 teaspoons granulated sugar (or preferred sweetener)
04 - 1 cup smooth mango puree from ripe mangoes
05 - 6 teaspoons fresh lime juice

→ For Serving & Garnish

06 - 15-20 fresh mint leaves, plus extra for decoration
07 - Ice cubes, as needed
08 - Lime wedges for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Heat water in a medium pot until it reaches a rolling boil. Remove from heat immediately and add your tea leaves or tea bags. Cover and allow to steep for just 1-2 minutes to avoid bitterness. Strain the hot tea into a large pitcher.
02 - While the tea is still warm, mix in your sugar or sweetener, stirring well until it completely dissolves.
03 - Blend in the mango puree, fresh lime juice, and mint leaves. Give everything a good stir to combine all flavors.
04 - Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours until completely chilled. Fill tall glasses with ice, pour the mango tea over, and garnish with fresh mint sprigs and lime slices before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Try swapping black tea for green tea or Earl Grey for different flavor profiles.
02 - Fresh basil leaves can replace mint for an interesting herbal twist.
03 - Use any sweetener you prefer - maple syrup, agave, or honey work beautifully.
04 - Don't over-steep the tea beyond 2 minutes or it will become bitter and overpower the mango.
05 - For a tangier version, use unripe green mangoes instead of sweet ripe ones - just add extra sweetener to balance.
