Holiday Peppermint Punch Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 ounces peppermint ice cream, left out until it reaches a semi-melted, pourable texture
02 - 4 ounces of eggnog, cold
03 - 3 ounces peppermint-flavored vodka or schnapps
04 - 4 ounces chilled ginger beer

→ Garnish & Toppings

05 - Additional peppermint ice cream for scoops on top
06 - Candy canes or peppermint candies, finely crushed for rimming glasses

# Instructions:

01 - Take 4 ounces of peppermint ice cream out of the freezer and let it sit at room temperature until it becomes soft and almost liquid-like in consistency. This will make it easier to blend with the other ingredients.
02 - Crush your candy canes into fine pieces and spread them out on a small plate. Lightly moisten the rim of each glass with water or eggnog, then gently press the rim into the crushed candy to create a festive coating.
03 - Pour the softened ice cream evenly into your two serving glasses, splitting it between them.
04 - Pour the eggnog into each glass over the melted ice cream and give it a good stir until everything is well blended together.
05 - Pour in your peppermint vodka or schnapps, followed by the cold ginger beer. Stir everything gently to combine all the flavors without losing too much carbonation.
06 - For an extra special touch, add a scoop or two of peppermint ice cream on top of each drink to turn it into a delicious float. Serve immediately and enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - This festive drink works wonderfully as both a dessert cocktail and a party punch.
02 - To make a larger batch for a crowd, use a half-gallon of peppermint ice cream. Melt 2 cups of it, then combine with 2 cups eggnog, 12 ounces peppermint vodka, and 40 ounces of ginger beer. Top with scoops of the remaining ice cream and serve in a punch bowl for 8-10 guests.
03 - The ginger beer adds a nice spicy warmth that balances out the sweet peppermint and creamy eggnog beautifully.
04 - For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the vodka or schnapps and increase the ginger beer slightly.
