Heat your oven to a low and slow 225°F (107°C). This gentle heat will dry out the apples without burning them.

Using a sharp knife, cut your apples into very thin rings, about 1/8 inch thick or less. Keep the core in for a pretty presentation, or remove it if you prefer. The thinner you slice, the crispier your chips will be!

Lay out your apple slices in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet, making sure they don't overlap.

In a small bowl, whisk together the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined. Sprinkle this fragrant mixture evenly over your apple rings.
