Cranberry Brie Grilled Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 slices of crusty sourdough bread
02 - 4 tablespoons softened butter
03 - 1/4 cup of cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
04 - 4 oz brie cheese, sliced thin
05 - 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
06 - 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt (if desired)

# Instructions:

01 - Grab a large cutting board for easy assembly. Take your softened butter and generously spread it on one side of every bread slice. This keeps things tidy and ensures even coverage.
02 - Turn four slices over so the buttered side faces down. Smear a nice layer of cranberry sauce across each one. Set the other four slices aside—they'll become your sandwich tops.
03 - Divide your brie and mozzarella evenly among the four cranberry-covered slices, layering them on top. If you're using the flaky salt, sprinkle a little pinch over each. Cap each sandwich with one of the remaining bread slices, butter-side facing up.
04 - Warm up a large skillet over medium-low heat. Once it's ready, gently place your sandwiches in the pan. Let them cook for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side until the bread turns a beautiful golden brown and the cheese gets all melty. Serve these beauties right away while they're hot.

# Notes:

01 - Feel free to swap cranberry sauce for sliced fresh apples, pears, or even apple butter for a different sweet twist.
02 - Want more protein? Toss in some leftover turkey, crispy bacon strips, or thin prosciutto slices.
03 - Add a handful of fresh arugula, baby kale, or spinach for a pop of green.
04 - Mix up the cheese game by trying white cheddar, tangy goat cheese, nutty gruyere, or creamy havarti instead.
05 - No sliced bread? Use flour tortillas or leftover dinner rolls as a fun alternative.
