Red Velvet Brownies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick, about 115g)
02 - 1/2 cup granulated white sugar (100g)
03 - 1/2 cup packed brown sugar (100g)
04 - 2 large eggs, brought to room temperature
05 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
06 - 2 1/2 teaspoons liquid red food coloring (or 1 teaspoon gel coloring)
07 - 1 teaspoon white vinegar

→ Dry Ingredients

08 - 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled (90g)
09 - 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (20g)
10 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
11 - 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

# Instructions:

01 - Heat your oven to 350°F and get a 9x9 inch baking pan ready by greasing it well. Line it with parchment paper, letting some hang over the edges so you can easily lift the brownies out later.
02 - In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat until it's completely liquid and starts to bubble gently. While the butter is still hot, stir in both sugars until they're well moistened and combined.
03 - Pour the warm butter mixture into a large mixing bowl. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, red food coloring, and vinegar, then whisk everything together until smooth and well blended.
04 - Sprinkle the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda over the wet mixture. Gently fold everything together until just combined - don't overmix or your brownies might become tough.
05 - Spread the rich red batter evenly in your prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes in the center of your oven, until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with just a few moist crumbs clinging to it.
06 - Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then use the parchment paper to lift them onto a wire rack. Allow them to cool enough to handle before cutting into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.

# Notes:

01 - These brownies have that perfect balance of dense and airy texture with the classic crackly tops that make brownies so irresistible.
02 - Gel food coloring is more concentrated than liquid, so you'll need less of it to achieve that beautiful red velvet color.
03 - Make sure your eggs are at room temperature for the best mixing results and smoother batter.
